To move around and through the familiar and unfamiliar alike. In a place, but not of it. And rather than just seeing and recording, to have the time and inclination to play with the arrangement of form and volume encountered.

To stumble upon an ‘ordinary’ that somehow speaks to a higher sense of beauty in defiance of the chaos that so often pervades our lived experience.

To resolve something that cannot well be described in words. To define it.

That is the purpose of photography.
